  • I had someone try this after I had co-written and recorded an album in 2000.

    I was/am a self-employed contractor but said (verbally) "No problem," after which time I invoiced him for 15 months of salary and taxes he would have been liable for as my employer. Funny---the whole thing went away within seconds.

    In hindsight, I wish he would have just paid the invoice
