  • I think it`s 4string DOMRA. Not Mandolin.

  • That's correct, however the domra is the Russian version of the mandolin so we keep it simple by calling it a mandolin.

  • I came for the violin, I stayed for the Mandolin.

    BRAVO!

  • When Tamara joined our group we were quite happy. But we've always been very lucky in the mandolin chair, for 9 years before Tamara Volskaya joined the group, in 2003, our mandolinist was the great American player, Barry Mitterhoff. When Jorma Kaukonen resumed touring in 2003 he hired Barry for his band, and Barry introduced us to Tamara.

  • incredibilmente son rimasto a bocca aperta MIZZICA! bravissimi! insuperabili! saluti dal USA!

  • There is also a three string Ukrainian domra. I have one made in Azerbaijan. I don't think it sounds as good as the Russian, but it is pretty good when playing folk music.
