The big problem of Moblin is the ZONES, take much time to switch between aplications. Taskbar are still better.

Moblin support 3G for a few types of netbook, it depends on which model/manufacturer you use

Ubuntu, based on Debian, is using .deb files while the original Moblin is based on Fedora, which is based on Red-Hat, and uses .rpm files..
the difference is nothing serious, since there's software that helps work with both files (alien)
