Heres the vid to answers your questions on how we did the weathering and battle damaging on our kits.In this vid we basically use easy to find stuff, anything laying around the house. we will prob do another one using real paints.

  • Question: im getting 3 model kits, and i have never built one. Is HGUC Jegan easy to build, cuz i figure its a good place to start.

  • @SilverSpades100 hmm That is a good start also older HGUC kits with less details have less smaller pieces aswell as the seed HG kits are good starter kits too.

  • I was wondering, could I battle damage a painted piece?

  • hhmm u could but it may not come out the same, its better to do the melting and stuff before you paint then add in the small details.

  • hmm geass sound track on a gundam vid is that ironic?

  • eh not really their both animes come from bandai, a zoids one would be more ironic.

  • im not trying to be annoying or naggy but when u put the nail on the fire u should do it out side because the stuff the put on nails so the dont rust can become poisines when there on a flame :./

  • Nice techniques! Just a little warning:

Please do remove excess plastic on the nail or heat source before reheating it. Burnt plastic not only smells bad, it's also toxic and nauseous.

  • its silver sharpie right?

  • what if u dont have a nail

  • Could you do it with other sharpie colors as well, like brown or black? And if so how do you think it would come out?

  • Thanks! Very Helpful, but next time you could have better lighting I guess.

  • I'll try this with my EW kits. they look a bit plain besides 00 and Seed Destiny kits even with deatiling

  • Using this method, what color sharpie would I use for a rust effect? So far I've only found gold and silver and I wasn't sure if the gold would be the right color to use.

  • when your done burning it then you bliw on it and finally you brush it?

  • just a thing i've heard before, so what do you think, plausible or not.

use rough sandpaper to create shallow gashes in the armor, then apply graphite dust or a very thin (watered-down) paint to the armor, and wipe off the stuff that doesn't fall into the gashes.
