Im picking up my full premium ambx kit today. I wont actually connect the speakers though, I will stick with my Sennheiser PC360s or Logitech Z-10s. Really looking forward to trying it out. Should be great fun with movies!

Hey, is there any way possible to conncect them like any other regular pc audio system (without the lights and installation and everything), just for the sound.??

@Eiffel61 I got mine off Amazon.co.uk for about $133, that includes shipping. At that price, it's definitely worth it. Not sure the full price they charged for them back when they were new would've been.

Just got my premium kit off Amazon today.
Immediately installed it and fired up Far Cry 2. Must say I'm disappointed the fans aren't used more, it's a really neat effect. So far they're only active when I fire a rocket, or during the intro movie and menu screens.
Would've been so cool if they were on whenever you were moving fast, sprinting, travelling by vehicles, falling. Shame.

Do you use the Phillips AMBX Premium Kit SGC5103BD/05? If so, does it sound good? I'm not sure if I should get it or not considering sound quality.

@KapteinFruit I use the Philips Starter kit with the Philips Extension kit. This gives me lights fans and rumbles, but allows me to use my own speakers. I think these were just some basic Dell speakers that came with the PC but this configuration gives you the most flexibility.

To get amBX effects you need an amBX kit and the amBX software.

No, the kit shown is an amBX starter kit (just the lights) combined with the amBX expansion kit (fans and rumbles). The speakers are completely seperate and came with my PC.
