I have been here since October '10. I'm glad I live off post. I live between Ramstein and Baumholder so I can have the convenience of shopping in the Ramstein area and having a 25 minute commute to work.

I'm an E-7 and I am on assignment in Baumholder. I was told by housing that I have to stay off post. Does anyone know some decent places to live off post? I'm looking for a nice sized house. Are there towns nearby where other military members stay?

Nothing like driving around baumholder listening to the Misfits! Its a quaint little German town....but quaint sucks when your a young private with lots of beer money...I was there d 3/12 Infantry
