I use it, I mean after the first part, when you have to barre all strings in the fifth fret, except for the A string, on which you put your third finger in the seventh fret...you know?

I'm really having a hard time trying to barre five strings at once...

easier? The necks on most nylon guitars are much wider than steel-string acoustics, which would make barre chords much harder. Lennon's version sounds like a steel-string acoustic to me, and with a capo on at the 2nd fret, barre chords are pretty easy.
