  • The age of the film critic died when Pauline Kael died. Today everyone (or anyone) can be a "film critic" on the internet. Wonderful interview. Thank you for posting them here. And I'm guessing the three dislikes come from Harry Knowles fans.

  • @kitsch2spacea You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed :)

  • They don't make 'em like Pauline Kael anymore.

  • Thanks for posting all four parts. She's really interesting to listen to - honest to a fault which is so refreshing (and rare!).

  • @MoeGreensRightEye hahaha et...

  • Sorry, Miss Kael, but criticism has gone the way of gossip and has not focused on craft; movies now have turned to comic books for stories and cartoonish super heroes for characters and away from human experience.

  • Is she talking to ET?

  • Deborah proved you right when in Rachel Getting Married last year.

  • on this I'm 100% agreement with Kael, Deborah Winger had it in her to be one of the greatest actresses ever, and it was and is tragic for movie lovers that she disappeared from the big screen. She was an amazing actress ( I say was because she has been gone from mainstream cinema for almost 2 decades now).

  • thanks for adding this 4th video.

i keep checking here periodocally to see if there is any more of her.

pauline kael made being educated seem very sexy.
