Sixth Annual Emile Noël Lecture on The State of the European Union

The Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law & Justice at New York University School of Law welcomed His Excellency Dr. Danilo Türk, distinguished professor of International Law and President of the Republic of Slovenia, to present the 2009 Annual Emile Noël Lecture.

The Annual Emile Noel Lecture was inaugurated in March 2004, and promotes an annual presentation and awareness of the current state of the European Union. With its continued evolution, growth and presence on the global stage, the European Union development is of very great importance on a legal and political level. Each year a prominent member of the legal and political administration of the Union will be welcomed to present their perspective of the "State of the (European) Union" which will be followed by a question and answer session with New York University faculty, students and other welcomed guests.
