JOHN MCCAIN: "I also understand that when public opinion is consistently against any policy, that policy is gonna be reversed because that's democracy. But there are times that I think in history we have pursued the right policy and it's turned out to be right. And, of course, Harry Truman and Korea springs to mind. We've got to continue to show success or our presence will be over. But I think Americans are showing more patience now than they were certainly six months ago."
