WRONG! there are many fokker dr1's in the world today.
although you did not specify if you were talking about originals or replicas.
Although its obvious your talking about originals, so just disregard this comment..

@HardStyleUniited92 It's amazing how everytime there's a video of something having to do with the FIRST World War, someone ALWAYS has to chime in a tidbit about WWII.

Great model and nice video! I really like that you painted your plane in the more typical olive streaks and blue under surfaces, and that you referenced the original scheme. Its nice to see a triplane that is not bright red for a change! I'm a beginning RC enthusiast, but would love to work up to building & flying a Fokker triplane and other WW1 era models. Thanks for posting this!

I have a Great Planes DR1 hanging on the wall... scared to fly it. I think I want to try a depron version (Jetset44) first.

:) Your little boy running to get out of the way is priceless.

@HardStyleUniited92 Don't know how it could remind anyone of Hitler ??? ... it's modelled on a WWI fighter, nothing to do with WWII.
Great model, great flying, and great vid! Thanks for posting. It's one of those iconic planes that captures the attention. Lovely model.

beautiful but ppl can get it wrong. from long distance its reminds of hitler.
Excellent work, Dave! It flies great... do you feel that there are any better flight control variables because of the triple wing design?
Very cool stuff!

Thanks. The 3 wings create lots of lift but it is very draggy -- the 3 wings allow for a shorter overall wingspan so the plane is very maneuverable. The historical aspect as well as it's awesome looks is what draws me to this scale design. Only about 320 were ever used during WWI -- none of them have survived. The last known Fokker Dr1 was destroyed in a museum in Germany during a WWII bombing run.
