Goldeneye Wii: Part 1 of 2

The Wii version of a true Nintendo classic has finally arrived, while this borrows from the film and original N64 game of the same name it features some new levels, layouts and features that set it apart.

This is a basic 2 part video which takes a look at the opening level, as this was my second time ever of playing the game on the Wii any dodgy aiming etc is down to that, lol. I may do future vidoes on Goldeneye to showcase the later levels (there are some great ones) and to show you how well the game controls when the control scheme does finally start to 'click' with you; as it did with me later on in the game. :)

It's a fantastic game that's well worth picking up and that's without even covering the multiplayer side. While the controls may require some tinkering at first and a little time to adjust to they are, for the most part, very good.

The only issues I've noticed is that occasionally you can get moments when the Wii remote will go a little crazy and can lead to you dying but thankfully those moments are few and far between.

The only other slight niggle is there are a few brief fps issues on some of the later more graphically intensive levels that really push the Wii, but nothing bad enough to detract too much from this great game.

Big thumbs up, go grab a copy! :)

Note: I'm currently having issues with my capture setup so back to filming the TV screen on console gameplay vids for the moment, hopefully not for too long so apologies for any issues with sound/ picture clarity; normal service will be resumed soon! Awesome....what more can I say :D Def be getting this.... I've been playing the DS version - it's quite good too. Also, James Bond Blood Stone looks good - developed by Bizarre Creations - great gameplay vid mate :D So, you Enjoying the Wii? :D

@1msx2go You should definitely pick it up, the controls take a little getting used to but once it clicks with you it's great. :) Enjoying the Wii a lot thanks, I think it'll be Donkey Kong Country Returns next for the collection. :)

@Drexus80 What do you think of NSMBWii? I loved every minute of that game :) Can't wait for donkey kong and yeah not sure about mickey either, its intriguing but not sure yet will have to wait for the reviews i think :)

@Snestastic Enjoying the Wii so far for those exclusives so it has it's place. :) Roll on Donkey Kong. :) Oh and there's also epic Mickey but I'm not sure what that'll be like.

@Drexus80 Yeah im getting a much better shot down the barrel as well but still prefer to run in and spray everywhere its much more effective lol you'll my efforts this saturday mate :) Yeah loooking forward to playing black ops, fingers crossed it doesn't let me down like mw2 did lol Never thought about that but your right that would have been brilliant as i used to love to dual wield the silver 9mm handguns they were awesome, what do you think of the wii so far?

@Snestastic Cool that you're enjoying it more now, I'll have to try that preset you mentioned and see if I notice much difference. You'll have to try and beat if before black ops arrives and takes over all your gaming time. :)

One thing I did notice that seems to have been left out though is duel wielding pistols / machine guns, which the original had which was always a laugh. :)

@Drexus80 Yeah its kinda annoying as i have to go back and do the objectives i can't play through the game and leave them undone lol im on the snow level now and bloody hell does it look beautiful, amazing how much juice eurocom have squeezed out of the wii with goldeneye, now i can control bond im really enjoying the game a lot more, it plays exactly how the n64 game plays which is wierd as this is a reimagining and so i expected modern cod controls :)
