Older Westinghouse elevators that shake and can't level very well (bumpy). The first elevator is 1 of 4 that serves: L, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 27, 28/29 (Conceirge keycard), 30-38. The second (boarded on 27) is 1 of 6 that serves: L-27. It's the only one with a digital indicator. Note TWO floor passing chimes, lol.

The permit is on file in the lobby, not posted, so the stats are iffy.

NOTE: The second floor is being renovated and can't be accessed, which really stinks because it's the link to Copley Place.

  • These are moddeed now right?

  • @revo8778 Absolutely not. They are still original pieces of shit. They need modernization badly. One car in the local bank has a digital indicator for some reason, but that's the only thing that has changed besides the carpeting from when the hotel was built in the 80s.

  • @ElevatingBoston That's 1980's Westinghouse for ya. Schindler needs to come in here with TXPress.

  • @revo8778 The main problem is the controllers. These need Miconic 10 badly. It's not uncommon to wait 10-20 minutes for an elevator only to have 3 arrive at once. It's also a disaster because full elevators will respond to any call. Trying to go down during a convention is absolute chaos.

  • recently jtevel rode this one. elevator transition areas are good areas to explore.

  • They have 3 westinghouse elevators at the beverly center mall just like this and people would wait for 10 minutes just for an elevator that serves 8 floors
