With the cold front passing through Arizona, temperatures have plummeted here in the Phoenix area. Today's high temperature is supposed to be only 62 degrees! As a result, some stratocumulus castellanus clouds formed to the north of Chandler on November 5, 2011. Scud can be seen underneath these clouds, as well.

  • @StormChaseArizona Love those Santa Annas!

  • @Lightningofthegods Sure. I have been in San Diego during the winter, and it the temperatures can definitely spike!

  • @StormChaseArizona k, thanks. Was wondering. I'm going back to San Diego ( lived there 12 yrs) and they have the rainy season. But it can get hot in dec! I remember it being 90 on Christmas day and during the Superbowl. I've only been in AZ on a stop over a the airport.

  • @Lightningofthegods Sort of. We usually have a few rain storms and cold fronts throughout the fall/winter months, but it is definitely drier than the summer...

  • @StormChaseArizona Looks like our cold spell will only last two days after wed 72 poss, was 72 today, then back to 50's and my be 70 mon. Hum wonder what this years winter will be like here. I bet, you get the rainy season now right?

  • @Lightningofthegods So are we. The Phoenix area is returning to the mid-70s by Wednesday and Thursday, but another batch of storms is headed our way by Friday and into this weekend. Thanks for watching!

  • We are in a warm trend, topping out at 70 this wed.

  • @CaStormChaser Same here! We just haven't gotten a ton of rain, but northern Arizona received a good dusting of snow! The forecast looks good for more rain on the weekend for us, as well! Thanks for watching, Sean!

  • Beautiful Trey! It's been a weird turn of events out here. We've already picked up a good amount of rain and snow from the past few storms...more on the way this weekend!

Hope all is well my friend!
