  • where did you get your phone holster from, i need something like that for my car. ordered the elm327but i read not everyone had success with using it in a ford which i have. anyways thanks for the video

  • @bobkilla430 I got it from Verizon. I have used the ELM 327 on several of my friends Fords and have not noticed any problems. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Thank you for watching.

  • @kerobinsonii

thanks i got mine but its not working or i havent found out how to use it. got the torque pro app and its saying that it cannot find the obd2. when i plug in the scanner it just goes to red any suggestions?

  • @bobkilla430 I would suggest making sure your bluetooth on the phone is turned on. Then have it search a pair with the adapter. Once it is connected then the lights on the adapter will start flashing.

  • @kerobinsonii seems im having problems connecting my phone to the scanner, says its pared but not connected, when i go to torque i find the 327 but says it cannot read my cars computer. been googling for hours trying to figure out how to fix it, i think it might be my phones hardware/ bluetooth software thats causing this problem, ive powered off and on my phone, turned bluetooth off. thanks for ur response hopefully i will figure something out so i dont have to return it.

  • @bobkilla430 If at all possible try a different bluetooth device and see if your phone will connect and communicate with it. That way you can see if it is your phone (Not Likely) or the Elm 327 (Very Likely) . Bad adapters are very common.

  • hey ive seen alot of these on ebay and amazon. Do know which one is better than others, because strangely they are all called elm327 for some reason. Ive been looking at this one called v-gate and its blue with 3 lights. Have you heard anything about it. Supposebly it also has live data. does yours? But i think it might be a chinese brand because many sellers from china are selling it on ebay

  • Thamk you. Just after I send you that message I was able to make it work. The password was on a txt file inside the mini CD.

  • @apzeiroturbo Honestly I have no idea. I do know you have to pair the two devices. You do that by going into your settings and picking wireless networks then click on bluetooth connections. Then hit scan for devices. Make sure your scanner is plugged into your vehicle when you do this. Hope you get it all sorted out.

  • Hello I have one like this but I cant connect it to myu android. Do you know the bluetooth password?
