i completely agree with this although i think this is something recording artists HAVE to have in their heads whilst making a record, if people can find a way of getting music for free - they will --and it is almost guaranteed its going to leek into the internet some way... so they need to find other ways to get the money

In comments, it has become popular just to shout "sell out" every time money is mentioned.
In my personal opinion I would love to support the youtubers I like watching. And not just youtubers, if I watch a tv-show I want to buy it when it comes out so I can keep watching it. I bought Parrot Stories, partly because I love the songs on it, but also because I wan't more songs to be written and recorded.

I don't think I've ever downloaded free music and I've definitely never got a free movie...I get them off friends sometimes, but I feel too guilty to download free stuff I should pay for xD

All so very true.
I myself don't have the money to go out and buy the CD's and DVD's that I want. I do download a fair bit of free music.
I bought Chameleon Circuit's CD.. I buy local band CD's.. Because I want to see these smaller bands ammount to greater things, and in life no one can get anywhere without money.
That's my 2 cents..
And I think that went nowhere.
Anywho, well done Nerimon :) I'm not even British, but I will subscribe.
