An Installation I did for a fourth year typography major at Massey design school.
features a quote, captured from my space. It was hand-set onto the ground, and stenciled in powdered chalk. As time passes, the quote dissolves back into the environment.
It is a comment on how the space of Manners Mall is a product of conversation and conflict. This typography in the environment becomes part of the conversation that shapes the space. The conversation becomes a type in the environment, the type then performs and interacts with the environment, and finally is appropriated to become part of this conversation. A full circle.
