USAirways A321 Landing in Charlotte (HD)

December 2008:
A short but enjoyable early morning flight from Orlando to Charlotte on Christmas Eve. Not the best landing I have ever experienced. Everyone was thrown forward slightly when the landing gear seemed to "grab" the runway instead of "kissing" it. I admire the A321 tremendously but I still think the comparable Boeing 757 is more graceful.

@SDMullis The grabbing of the ground is a chronic problem with A321 pilots. Its caused by the pilot having the autobrake set too high for touchdown.

@TouchedMadness the aircraft is painted in the pre-merger dark blue paint. You can tell by the gray engines since the white scheme has navy blue engines.

8justin88 I agree with you. Bojangles is great though unfortunately Charlotte Airport is the only place I have every seen one.

I've only flown twice before and I'm in the process now of booking a trip from JAN-CLT so I can visit friends and family in Greensboro. I've never flown on US Airways before but I'm really looking forward to the trip!!

RJ9 is my fav aircraft leaving around 6 in the morning is probaly the best time to see the most wounderfull sun riseq

This is perhaps not the best choice of words for a description, but the 757's have a baby-type (fragile) of design, especially when looking at the front of the aircraft.

That is one of the shortest landings I have ever seen! It looks like it only took like a forth of the runway. lol
