This song makes me sad because so many Maori people left New Zealand to live in Australia because there was no work. Patea Maori Club was formed after the big local meat works closed down and left the whole community devasted. This is a great tribute to the people of Patea. Kia kaha (be strong)

I am not from Patea. I am from the Far North of New Zealand. I am still living in New Zealand and love this song because it brings back memories of when New Zealand had lots of jobs and all our families were able to find work. Kia ora to all the whanau who live in Australia. Wish you would all come back one day. ka kite

I'm pretty sure it was for Starship cause I remember going to one in Auckland and the all blacks were there after doing a hospital visit.
