@TheMxrider66 Dyno's except locked rear ends. My '05 has a Detroit in the rear and it's been run on a dyno a couple dozen times.

Along the same lines as the last poster. I've got a 1990 F-150 (lightweight frame) with a half dead 302 in it. If I can get a donor rig (in decent condition) what years can I get before ford switches the wiring in the guage cluster? I really don't want another rats nest under the dash (been there/done that), too many reliability issues...

In 1995 they went to an OBDII system and computer controls. But before that the IDI 7.3s weren't turboed and with everything being mechanical it is a bit more difficult to dial them in. Tunes are a wonderful thing to be able to play with. I'd go 95-97.

hey ive got a 87 ford i put a powerstroke in and a 93 with a cumins i would say its easy just a matter of finding a doner truck

As long as its an F250 or 350 and you have a donor rig it'll all work easy just take everything off one and put it on the other.

nice truck,, i have a 96 F350, unfortunately with the dog 351,, it needs a diesel, i have swapped a few gas engines when i was hot roddin small block ford mustangs and small chevys 10 years ago,, how much work am i lookin at to put a 7.3 in my 96, if i find a 95-97 powerstroke, and i have all the parts needed,?? any help would be greatly apreciated..I hate havin a toy engine in a BEAST of a truck, it deserves more,, its fine for plowing and pullin my 21 foot boat, but i want to work the sumbitch
