This is the MIGHTY FLYERS live in 1976. The Flyers were a country/rock Christian band. Lead singer/songwriter David Rees loved bands/singers like The Eagles and Neil Young. Dave died tragically in 1978.
Co-founder of the band was Nick Brotherwood, Drums, who is now Canon Nick Brotherwood in Canada.
Nick Stone, one of the original members, has gone off the radar, I don't know where he is. Nick Stone was a dab hand at country style 'bottle neck' guitar. He is the jingly jangly sound.
I am Tim Paton. I played bass guitar.
The other guitarist on this 1976 tour, (which turned out to be a farewell tour), was none other than the unforgettable Norman Barratt. Norman died an early death in July 2011.
I have had this live recording since 1976. Enjoy. Reflect. Remember
Thanks for posting this. I was a great fan of the Mighty Flyers in the 70s and saw them once at Greenbelt (77?). Under New Management is my favourite album and this is a great version of "Saddest Song". Never knew what happened to them until a year or so ago when I read about Dave's sad death somewhere on the the internet. Sorry to hear about Norman as well.

@Daviduk261 Thanks for the kind comment. You saw us at Greenbelt. Was that 1976 when it poured with rain and we had to play in a large marquee? Was that the night when Barry McGuire did a spot as well? That was me on bass guitar by the way.
