Patterns I've been playing with recently.
3 hours of sleep the previous night.
Took some liberty with the editing, thought I'd play around a bit and keep you entertained with non-poi shennanigans.
All shot at Columbus Circle, NYC.

Music: It's Indifference - Autoclav 1.1 from the album "Love No Longer Lives Here"
Pick it up if you have the chance - as well as enjoy ambient music from Tympanik Records.

  • what music were you listening to when you spun this?

  • @daviskrew14 I was actually listening to a lot of Autoclav 1.1, although too much of anything can be overwhelming, so later on (as it got darker in the video :P) I started listening to The Luna Sequence.

  • very well done sir. What kind of poi are you using there?

  • @Ascilith Some of my own personal creations. I've been researching for a while how to make poi that are designed specifically for contact poi, that also spin really well and comfortably, and alas those were finessed. :P

  • siiick bro. thanks for sharing as always! tosses and contact stuff was very fluent and went well with what you were doing, which is the tricky part to contact poi. great job man and hope to see new videos soon :) happy spinning

  • @Hero417 yeah, some things I've been trying to explore are ways to incorporate contact poi into general technical spinning because most of the time contact poi feels like it's in an entirely different plane of consciousness than... well poi.

But yeah, I'm glad you thought I was fluent, quite a few parts felt really choppy to me.

    :)

  • Brilliant spinning! Beautiful cat-eyes and hybrids. I've been using lots of s-caps and have been looking for a good term for them.
