People can go back and forth about the EXACT reasons why Dave left and why they could never pull off a real good reunion tour. ONLY THEY know the facts about the why's and hows. Everything is really just a rumor. Dont bother to speculate and spread the rumors.

@charmingasalways I agree. I was always a Sammy Hagar fan, dont get me wrong, but when Dave left the band Van Halen was OVER. Sammy and the guys really did have a cool band and a couple great tunes...but it was no "VAN HALEN" as I knew it and loved it. My older bro saw them play a house party before the first album came out. He was a REAL big VH fan.

I saw Van Halen live in 1981. Dave. I wouldn't have seen them any other way. Gary Cherone was a good singer, but the band rocked with Diamond Dave and went to hell after he left.
