One of the most frustrating things for both the non-verbal autistic child and his or her parent is when the parent cannot figure out why the child is so distressed. This video shows one such occasion. Recorded December 29, 2011.

Daniel is a cool little non-verbal autistic kid. These are just videos of Daniel's daily life. Not very entertaining, unless you happen to be a family member or a parent of an autistic child.

  • What's the abilify di to help

  • @JoHnNiEGuNnS Treatment of irritability associated with Autistic Disorder in pediatric patients 6 to 17 years of age.

Since Daniel is only four and a half (not six as indicated on the Abilify website), his pediatrician prescribes half a dose per day.

  • @JoHnNiEGuNnS During the first week and a half or so that he first started taking it, Daniel had a pretty rough time with nausea, vomiting and constipation. After the second week, only the constipation remains as a noticeable side-effect.

  • @JoHnNiEGuNnS While Daniel still has the occasional meltdown or tantrum, they seem to be reduced in frequency. He also bites and scratches less often.

  • Poor kid, I have autism too but luckily i speak...I'm older than him though. Anyway Daniel is a very nice kid and you did a good job =)

  • @dancelovekat - Daniel's tantrums aren't always resolved, simply because I can't figure out what is upsetting him so much. But it's great when I do. Live and learn, I guess. Perhaps you had to deal with similar situations with your parent(s) when you were younger.

Thanks for the comment and kudos. :)
