Can India overtake China? Impossible, under the circumstances. Infrastructure growth in China is way ahead of India. Being the factory of the world, China heavily invests in Africa for raw materials. Indian poverty is big compared to the Chinese. Indians have much more debt. Indian debt-servicing is not going smoothly. Gap widens between poor and rich. Indians depend more on Gulf-oil. The Chinese are far ahead of Indians in spite of the human-rights issues or one-party rule. Indian industrial growth is around 7% & agricultural growth around 4%. The growth in service sector or the export of digital products are not going to save Indians from the looming trade deficit. Last year, Indians had to import food-grains.
