Got an older Taco with the ARB front and a home built version on the rear with an after market rear/front electric locker. Bought the new 4Runner trail and going at it the same way. Check out some of the video on my youtube channel: AdventureToyota

@hjaltigto What makes you say that? What is the deffiniton of a "REAL offroad truck"? first of all these arent even trucks, there suv's, and last i checked there was also no deffinition of a "REAL offroad truck" in the dictionary either, that states no real offroad trucks dont have leaf springs.

REAL offroad trucks do not have leafsprings!!!

@skateshortys8 Stock engine for the '96-'02 4runners is a 3.4L V6. Some had a 4 cylinder.

@skateshortys8 No, that would be a locking differential. A solid axle is what the black '85 has. The front axle is just like the rear axle, where as the other 4runners have IFS, those use CV axles.
