  • His death was tough to take in. There are still veterans out there who could've fought in the Great War.

*Kashi Ram Rai (USA, born Nepal)

    *Mzee Barnabus arap Rop (Kenya)

    *Andrew Rasch (USA)

  • Thanks guys for rating, and commenting! I added the last living WWI-era vets in the description box. Take a peek! Remember, WWI-era vets never served in WWI, just in a different war during the same time period as WWI.

  • The ending of the two World Wars are 27 years apart. Im assuming that in 2037, we will get in this perdicement again. Nobody needs to worry about that.

  • Mr. Babcock just passed away today. RIP

  • It's tough seeing the last ones pass on.

  • 3 of the last 4 months, there has been a veteran that died, April- Netherwood Hughes, June- John Campbell Ross, and July- Henry Allgngham

  • M.L husain was born in the war and john F. Kennedy born in the war too :D

  • who is at 0:52 ?

  • @Polyfusia There are only none left if you are refering to combative veterans. Florence Green, who is 110 years old, served as a waitress for the RAF and is officially recognised as the last surviving veteran of the First World War (since Claude Choules passed away). Furthermore, there are several claimant veterans still alive, as CrazyCoyote100 has mentioned. Also, there are individuals alive who were born in the 19th century, they are also symbolic to Choules' generation.

  • Choules has died. There are none left. This is not just the death of a man, but it is symbolic of the end of entire generation of people. The whole population of Earth born when Choules was. Much of the world we live in was built and pioneered by these men and women. They will be missed.

  • @CrazyCoyote100 I'm intrigued, but I can't find much on these individuals. Could you possibly inbox me any decent links you may have please? It would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • John Babcock was from Canada, not the USA.

  • Happy Birthday Claude Choules!

  • Frank Buckles died Sunday :(

    now theirs only 2 left.

soon to be the soul survivor. :(

  • sorry the chance is almost zero. Green wasnt really a veteran she was a waitress
