  • Who shot john brown ?

  • Bloody Grahame of Claverhouse ordered his dragoons to shoot him, but out of remorse they failed to comply with the command. Claverhouse therefore drew his own Pistol, and turning executioner himself, and shot John Brown through the head.

  • That must be John Brown of Priesthill at 49 seconds in.

    Thanks for sharing this

  • Correct mate. Poor John Brown, shot in front of his wife. Another martyr who paid the price for loving Christ.

  • @ibuchanan82 Anglican Kings of England...otherwise known as the Stuart dynasty (not English). Who were the Kings of Scotland and Ireland as well as England after 1603...Its not as simple as you have made it out to be. Also, 'tyranny of Rome' and 'a genuine and free expression of faith'???...By that you mean free expression of faith as long as you are a rigid presbyterian.

  • @FightingIrish1979 - the Christian faith came to Scotland via a peaceable channel which was not part of the Roman institution. Columba and Patrick who are now both Saintified in the catholic church were never part of Roman Catholicism. Celtic Christianity was adopted within the Celtic and Pictish communities of Scotland without force, the only killings being those martyred for the Christian faith.

This is one of the things that makes Christianity in Scotland so important, it was a purer express

  • @gordywilson actually the majority of Covenanters were martyred at the hands of the Anglican Kings of England, whom they rebelled against more than Catholicism which was already on it's way out when The Covenanter movement was in full swing. So it was not just the tyranny of Rome but also the protestant elitists that sought to quench a genuine and free expression of faith.

  • Apostrophes indicate ownership, not plurality.

  • lest we forget those who died in the name of christ scotland and the covenant and freed us from the tyranny of rome

  • Not as many as the combined tactics of the Terrorist UDR/RUC/UDA/UVF!!!!

  • HAHA your intelligence shines through. So how many innocent catholics did the IRA murder then? You need to step back from the lies and propaganda and take a good, long, hard look at the truth about irish republicanism.

  • Rape and Plunder, surely ur refering the the so called British empire????

U wouldnt know the truth if it slapped ur ugly face!!

  • Haha you are just hilariously ignorant of the truth - but then you are a republican with an agenda of murder, rape, torture and pillage to achieve your illegal claims. People know you for what you are and no amount of propaganda covers it up - except for the truly intellectual inadequate.

  • Take ur blood and Thunder BULLSHIT and stick it u cunts have used the bible to justify murder and repression on the Irish for years!!! Baby killers???? How many babies burnt to death in the firebombing of dresden????
