even though my dad didn't fight in Nam, my dad fought against the NVA & the Pathet Lao in Laos, maybe near the Ho Chi Minh Trail, i gotta ask him.

This is what my dad saw when he was with his platoon, especially when my father was captain in Vietnam! Went to the forest with 100 men, came out with 15 including my father.

@Homie2576 It was a drug overdose, he took drugs because it calms your nerves.
Especially in a war like Vietnam i think it was sort of a day to day routine of soldiers smoking pot etc.

Platoon Leader is one hell of a movie it was sad to see alot of young men and women die in this war.

What is wrong with Canon.? they should re-release this on dvd. this ones a great movie. old time favs. i have the Vhs and the cd soundtrack. i listen to the cd whenever i go for a walk in the deep woods. Nice. lookin around for charlie
