Indian Kashmir: Deadly Grenade Attack

There's been a deadly attack in northern India. Five people, including two children and a woman are dead after suspected Muslim militants threw a grenade at a crowded bus terminal in Indian Kashmir.

Another 22 civilians have been wounded from the attack.

Authorities believe more attacks are likely.

[MP Nathaneil, Deputy Inspector General]:
"We have input that many other incidents are likely to happen in future so we will tighten the security in the region."
One eyewitness recounts what happened.

[Vivek, Eyewitness]:
"... We were waiting at the stand for a bus. While we were waiting, somebody threw something at us and suddenly there was a blast in which three people were injured."

Rebel violence has flared across the Himalayan region over the past week. More than a dozen people, including 10 soldiers, have been killed and scores wounded in explosions and shootouts.
