"Who wants high end hotels"? For the Thai Pattaya is what Cancun is for the Mexicans or Goldcoast for the Australians,the place to be to show off.The HiSo Bangkok Thai doesn't come here for the beach or the bars but to show their new Merc,stay in a high end hotel and dine in the better restaurants so they can send the pictures to there friends and gain face.

Also a lot of rich Russians (maffia) in town.

I dont compare it to london. I compare it to the fun I had there 6 years ago vs now compared to cleaner places in asia.

Sorry to smash your bubble....but although there are more Indians and Arabs coming to Pattaya the're still a minority.It has always been a shithole with all the UK scum but with a lot of new high-end hotels and shopping malls it's getting better and in the weekends a lot of 'not so low-life' Bangkokians are spending time here.

Agressive..?I feel myself ten times more save than in London or Amsterdam.
