It says 2012. It's energetic, bold, optimistic - completely reflecting the project that is London 2012, particularly the huge urban regeneration that is going on right now in the future Olympic site at Stratford. It moves, it's dynamic - so it works across all kinds of media (internet, video, etc.) It will reach and connect to the target audience of younger generations.
It's inclusive - it can be filled with images and designs. Its not limited to the neon or anything for that matter.

I love this brand - colors, patterns, fonts, and graphic usage that make up a strong visual identity founded on the London Games' values and aspirations (people are stupid and don't realize the price tag includes the entire brand not just the main logo). It's all very bold, dynamic, energetic, inclusive, and optimistic. Nothing that looks like it's trying too hard to be epic.
