  • Nice print!!!!! We have the Viper too but can't print such a great white. How did you get to that level???????????

  • @saruzza1 you need to make sure every white nozzle is firing on the test print, once you drop a few nozzles the white print starts going to shit, and it takes allot of work to keep them working. always keep your capping station moist, i pour metho into mine every night before i dock the head so the head sits in liquid all night. if i dont it takes about 10 cleans to get it working again.

  • Oh Wow. I hope they get it fixed right away. I just talked with another guy who has just got his a few weeks agon and it was gen 1. they fixed it right away and now he is loving it. He says everything working great now. Thanks

  • yeah, backup is pretty good here. our whole printer is being shipped all 3200kms back to DTG for a rebuild to bring it up to gen 3 specs and replace the ink fried boards inside.

new case, new bed height detection and new conveyor/base. and they are paying the shipping.

not many companies with that kind of backup around.

  • Piece of junk bitch i hate that fucking printer

  • @monkion1 I have the newest Viper that has came out, and i've successfully printed about, maybe 10 shirts. I've had it for almost half a year. They CONSTANTLY break down, and most of these don't come with a warranty, leaving you stuck paying for all the broken parts. The Viper (generation 2) prints a lot faster, when it works.

  • I have a viper and not had one problem it prints fantastic i think it come down to the operator and your artwork maintenanve is a bif factor too

  • That print in the video probably cost anywhere between $3.50 - $5.00 in ink for both shirts, depending on what resolution they printed. The video is 9:44 but actual print time was probably about 13 - 15 minutes. This is not a speed demon when it comes to printing dark garments. You can print 300 shirts in a 9 hr day if you have 2 plattens, 2-3 heat presses, and a ton of organization. You have to pre-treat shirts if you're printing white ink which adds a considerable amount of time to production.

  • I received a first gen machine in June of '09 and had nothing but problems. Finally they replaced the machine with a brand new one in November of '09. I have not had a problem since. This machine is great for high detail prints and one offs. I have a designer that likes to see his shirts printed before going to production and he has no problem paying $20 for a one off sample print. You can design and print right away while you're waiting for screens to dry if you need to get product out fast.

  • Everybody who is planing to purchase Viper; be causion that printer is not worth the money, I spend lots of money to add something new to my business; All what I got is LOSS loss of customers and income. The machine had been braking since I got it; now I am on number two which is not operating since end of september. Just imagine how much I loss through those months during hunting and Christmas.

I would not recomend this printer to anybody. LEMON in my opinion

  • DO NOT BUY THE DTG VIPER!!! Printer constantly breaks down. White ink clogs, rip software crashes, print quality poor, takes forever to print if you are printing on the highest quality (1440 x 1440) which is the only option if you want the print to look decent. Awful customer service. Check online forums, this printer is a real nightmare. Trust me, I have one. :(
