A strange action title published by Sage's Creations in the U.S. that features two slow moving ninjas (one male and female, and the female possesses an awesome smiley), a slow moving Kendo Master, a slow moving buddhist priest, and really bad cover art.
They are sent on a mission to rid the land of evil by an omnipotent being named Hyprion, who bestowed each of the humans with special powers. Originally, the gods had protected the human world, but due to human's decline in moral fiber and increased greed and corruption, they cut off contact with the humans. When this happened, an evil being named Ashura sprung into action and enslaved the human world and made those with wicked hearts work as his subordinates. Now your team must fix the problem that humans themselves have created.
This game isn't bad. It's about as average as it gets with one or two novel features that warrant giving it a shot as opposed to some other mediocre games. Coming from Sigma, the folks who published the almost unthinkably awful Maka Maka for the Super Famicom (though to be fair, a lot of the games they publish are OK or even great), this could've been a lot worse.
The neat thing about this game is that you can choose between four characters at anytime, who each have their own abilities. Horatio commands fire, Tiffany can control wind, Leo can project blades of energy, and Marco can use lightning. They each have a standard attack as well which varies in usefulness and can be charged up to become more powerful. You can collect a bunch of emblems that reduce your character's charge time and improve their jumping ability too. If a character dies, they stay dead until you use a continue, so don't fall in pits and alternate between them accordingly.
This game also has a two-player co-op mode that makes this game slightly more interesting. The game could have used more enemies and diversity, but it's not too shabby. Enjoy.
My father bought this game for me back in 1992 and I HATED IT. The charachters were so slow and the graphics were dark and horribly animated. But then, one day, perhaps two years after the game had been collecting dust under my bed and I had nothing to play, I hooked it up. And it grew on me, little by little. Until one day, I could not get enough. I specially loved the fact that you had to figure out the best charachter for each boss and level. It was awesome.
