I was going to take a few days to refresh the supplies, but with me being out of town for anniversary celebrations beginning tomorrow, I'll throw this one out today instead. The Rolling Elbow(sometimes known as a Roaring Elbow thanks to Joey Styles, though the move has never officially been known as such) is probably a familiar move to most of you, given that Masato Tanaka used it extensively during his ECW days, as well as during his bout with Mike Awesome in 2005. The move combines a bit of style with pinpoint accuracy, and pure devastation, as the spinning motion adds to the impact. Used all over the world by wrestlers of each gender, the move has been responsible for title victories, and has put down some of the biggest names in wrestling over the past ten years or so.

Out of these ten wrestlers, only Chris Hero currently competes for ROH.

Hero's is nice, but it just doesn't have the force that others do.

I know it's accurate to call it a "Rolling Elbow" but "Roaring Elbow" sounds so much more menacing no matter who does it. Anyway cool vid SD.

You know you can't have a Rolling Elbow list without Misawa or Hero killing a guy with that move

Not only on TV but everywhere, Chris Hero's elbow sounds best...when he started in 2000 he wasnt on TV but it still sounded better than Misawa's on TV and talk about timing what about the ripcord elbow and the passing elbow it needs perfect timing to be performed and Chris Hero has that

The best TODAY, I could get behind even if he has strong competition, but the best overall compared to who we saw in this video is a bit of a stretch. I agree with the sound, because Hero is possibly the guy with the most perfect legslap/whateverslap timing in wrestling today so it really sounds great but you're comparing TV sound quality from today to that of the 90s. And in terms of actually making it LOOK devastating, Misawa is the king of elbows. He made this move a believable finisher.

We arent basing it on who did it first, we are basing it on skill...But based on the comments section everyone think Chris Hero has the best one...One reason is because the impact...On most of these elbows you cant hear a thing but on Chris Hero's it sounds like he cracked someones head open.

What I really like about Hero's Elbow is how fast the spinning part is. This clip showcased that very well when he beat Shiozaki to the punch/elbow.

Hero himself would tell you that Misawa's Elbow was ten times greater than his. Why do you think he started using that move in the first place?

He may lack the force, but the impact he hits it with always makes me cringe.
He manages to position his body just so that the torc he gets from the spin allows him to deliver the perfect knockout blow.
