Lao Lan Xang was started with the blessing from the Khmer king it is even taught in the school in Laos! Jao Fa Ngum a Lao prince was raised in the courts of Angkor. The Khmer king loved Jao Fa Ngum like his own son, Jao Fa Ngum even married the Khmer kings daughter. The Khmer princess was the first lady of Lan Xang, the king even supplied Jao Fa ngum a Khmer army of 10,000 to march north.
