  • one question, how do guys from the bus stops(the ones located smack in the middle of the dividing corridor) walk to the road ends without disturbing the traffic of cars n motorcycles?

  • Bus shelters are located at existing signalized junctions, pedestrian lights have been integrated with signals to ensure they cross safely when one side flow stops (at the signal) without obstructing cars and two wheeler traffic

  • Actually CM was trying to do her best to give good transport system to Delhites but unfortunately Delhi peoples are not discplined ones, i daily travel thtough this stretch bikers bother least about traffic rules, government should install cctv to ensure that no one go unpunished after breaking traffic rule.

  • Is that road to Vasant Kunj

  • OMG Delhi people have decipline now!!!

Sheila Dikshit can run for PM.

  • This type of separate sidewalks for bikes and walking should be required by law in all cities of India now... They're needed badly. CNG Buses are nice looking... A+ for that... :-)

  • There was chaos initially even when Delhi mandated CNG for the buses but eventually it worked out to benefit Delhi. Just have patience folks

  • Work is on and Relcon is the current contractor. BRT widens the roads from the existing 2-3 lane on each side to min 2-3 lanes for cars, 1-2 lanes for buses, 1 lane for cyclists (each direction) with disabled friendly pedestrian path & crossings. When u say Chinese have manners do u mean Indians don't. The problem is ignorance of facts not BRT. BRT is a part of our national policy which is not made on opinions but in national interest. As citizens of this democratic nation we must respect this.

  • work has stopped. roads were not widened for BRT. they were halved. one lane is occupied by illegal hawkers, one lane goes for parking used by customers. this is the most foolish thing ever done in the city. check out china's BRT lanes..that country is the future of the world. world class public transport and people there have manners

  • Consider the following points - Satara and Solapur roads were 2-3 lane urban roads widened for BRT. BRT work in Pune is not yet complete and construction is on. Current and previous friction on the road always meant sub optimal use and u were able to get equivalent of 1-1.5 lane throughput (and this was mainly due to parking) Lastly BRT is the only choice as road space diminishes due ever increasing cars both because of fast motorization and people shifting out of current inefficient bus system.

  • BRT has also been implemented in pune..

seriously our city engineers and planners are incompetent idiots..in pune a 4 by 4 lane highway was reduced to one by one lane road because of this idiotic shit

  • so true....shameless indian media has been bought by bjp probably to show it is a congress failure....

i think motor vehicle jams are resulting due to lack of lane discipline amongst drivers of delhi...also no bluelines should be allowed in BRT...they must be messing stuff up...all the best to brt of delhi...brt's are a sign of an evolved city and civilization world over
