when we do scba drills we always have to have are helmets on. so i had to figure out an easier way of doing it with your helmet on the whole time. but nice job really smooth
I am a 5'1" and 120 female ,and over the head is actually the absolute easiest way to get packed up, especially for a smaller stature, behind the back is impossible and time consuming, and i've definitley never dropped a pack on myself... lol
i agree with marines13r. When I was in fire cadets thats the method I was taught and this is the method they teach firefighters. When you throw it over our head you just have to remain in control. And when you throw it over your head you also must hold onto the arm straps so it would never fall.
I agree with TFD, at the fire collage they taught helmet first incase you drop the pack. However, in the real world I have never seen anyone do it that way. I know I don't.
In the explorers for our competitions you get time added to your total for throwing the pack over your head without a helmet because if you drop it you could get a big headache.
no. Its a method called over the head. The helmet comes on AFTER your pack, mask, and hood are on and locked. Then helmet and gloves dead last. Throwing a pack over your head isnt safe but its better than the side method. Just be carfull you dont smack someone in the face when you do it.
