This video is a collaboration between me and my long-time, dear friend, Bob Hermon. Bob did all the work involved in assembling the video, including providing the high quality, long overdue, of this beautiful Chris Curtis composition. I supplied most of the photos from my exhaustive collection. It's Classic Searchers harmony!

Sadly, Chris passed away on February 28, 2005. I am posting this song in memory of his upcoming birthday, August 26, 1941. My dear, fun-loving, Chris...We'll Be Missing You!!!

The Searchers are an English beat group, who emerged as part of the 1960s Merseybeat scene along with The Beatles, The Fourmost, The Merseybeats, The Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry & The Pacemakers.

The band's hits included a remake of the Drifters' 1961 hit, "Sweets for My Sweet"; remakes of Jackie DeShannon's "Needles and Pins" and "When You Walk In The Room"; an original song written for them, "Sugar and Spice"; The Orlons' "Don't Throw Your Love Away"; and a cover of The Clovers' "Love Potion No. 9". They were the second group from Liverpool, after the Beatles, to have a hit in the United States when "Needles and Pins" charted during the first week of March 1964.

"I'll Be Missing You" is one of the 11 compositions written by Chris Curtis for The Searchers. He co-wrote a 12th song, "He's Got No Love" with his bandmate and long time friend, Mike Pender.

RIP: Chris Curtis and Tony Jackson! We miss both of you!
