I like steve millers version of this too, very blusey. as for the great Wishbone Ash. I am afraid I will always be partial the Powel,Turner,turner,Upton line up. but hey, that was the line up the first 10 or so times I saw them, I may be the least bit prejudiced to that time of my life.

David Lindley's version is much better.

Not sure of the Dave Edmunds album but the first time I heard DE's version of this song was on an episode of the TV series "Miami Vice" the one where a race car driver's father murders attractive women.
I like David Lindley's version too.
The best place to find Dave Edmunds' version would be via Google or a file sharing site. And your'e right - he kicks ass!

Do you, by chance, mean David Lindley's (1981 - from "El Rayo X")? If not, what album did Edmunds put it on? Would love to hear his, as he kicks ass on guitar, too!

I like this rendition but have you heard Dave Edmunds' version? IMHO DE's is the best.

What type of band is Wishbone Ash? "Mercury Blues" is definately a country song. . .that's why I'm wondering.
