but i can't really blame your friend since i thought that this cover was Bodom too-- but that was a long time ago, when i first started getting into their music...but after i started listening to alot of COB, Ensiferum, Norther, Wintersun, etc. etc., i was able to distinguish between them /m/

First of all...Alexi LAIHO
Second, this isn't Bodom at all (check COB's official web site for a list of their cover songs-- they specifically say that "Final Countdown" is NOT a COB cover).
Alot of people confuse Norther and COB because they're similar sounding Finnish metal bands...but if you listen to alot of Finnish metal, then you would hear the differences between them: Petri Lindroos =/= Alexi Laiho, period. They're two different people in two very different bands.
FAIL.

the song is part bodom, it has alexi lahoe (sp) in it, but its northers cover of the final countdown (originally done by europe)
