Curtain Rod as Digital TV Antenna

will this work for fta receivers like sonic view 4000

Have you tried to beam in ABC, FOX, and PBS from Orlando/Daytona Beach since this video? Don't get me wrong, your apparatus for receiving DTV stations is quite impressive but I'm just wondering about the other stations.

DTV channels operate in the UHF Frequencies, you'll get better reception if you make a little UHF loop antenna about 10" in dia. (old coat hanger) Then connect it to a UHF balun, then RG6 coax to the coverter :) Thats what I use and the signal levels are all around 65-70%

I tried the same converter, and when I touched the coax connection on the rear of it with my finger, it started picking up stations from all over. I guess the hat I made of aluminum foil to ward off the aliens, martians and evil spirits has a second use. I have aluminum foil folded over 3 times and taped to the upper corners of every room so that may act as an excellent ground plane.

Approx 30-40 miles.
