Today, Ben's lunchroom was torn down. 74 years in business. It's a sad day, but I am sure it spells the beginning of bigger and better things for our community.

  • If only the walls could talk! As a truck driver I look for places like this along my routes. This is where you find the best foods and the true and honest people of a community. In these iconic places, the food plays a small part. It's the people that manifest the history. A waitress once asked me if I had a place like this back home. My reply was ben's - you should come sometime!!

Here is where you find the true people of a comunity! Honest and hard working people are always loyal to there ICONS. A waitress once asked me in Pennsylvania if I had a place like this back home. My reply was ben's, you should come sometime!

  • Growing up in Ontario with parents from Miriamichi who grew up with Ben's it was always a highlight of every summer vacation to stop at Ben's for some lunch. Will miss those burgers...

  • Seeing this brought tears to my eyes, I loved going to Ben's after work for some cheesedogs with ketchup and onions with some Dr. Pepper... It's sad to see it gone...
