haha yesterday i was trying to do this but i didn't really know how to go about dropping the ski so I tried to shake it off while maintaining my balance. I was able to maintain my balance but when it started coming off of my foot it dug in to the water(my foot still in) and I did a nice faceplant.

I learned to slalom by getting up on one ski. It's more of a challenge but it's a bigger sense of accomplishment.

ajtidwell - this can be done on any lake anywhere. You may be new to boating but here is a tip, when you're the captain of a boat, you can't run over stuff...skis, people, other boats, etc. You need to watch what you're doing. If you want a place all to your own, buy a lake and make it private. If not, watch what you're doing when you're on the water.

What lake are you on that you can just drop that other ski? Do you have someone in another boat go and pick it up for you? How about a video where you teach the basics of coming out of the water with one ski? I don't mean to sound rude, just wondering. We almost ran over someone's ski in a lake after they tried slaloming this way and would have been pissed if we'd actually hit it!
