Automatic charge... that's a disgusting policy- it's ridiculous!
This removes the Police Officers digression, so even if you get found with a knife by one of the nice coppers and he knows you have a reason for carrying the knife, and thinks you have the right to have it, he still has to charge you and you go to court! Utterly Ludicrous...
We're all suspects in Britain, Guilty until proven innocent.

They only stopped me cos' im black
-
So they search us for being black?...
-
@adifferentending Haha, so its either get stabbed by someone, or take the knife and get randomly pulled and arrested? This is fucking retarded.

Stop and search policy. random and unneeded?

"I'm Agent Foster..."
(I'll just write down my own name in case I forget)
@DackIsBack This film gives examples of how you could be charged under joint enterprise for murder. Even if you weren't charged for murder you could be charged with other offences such as aiding and abetting. Every case is different, but joint enterprise means that if you are involved in a serious crime such as murder, with a common purpose, you could be charged with murder regardless of your role.

@omfgwtfrulz You should not be stopped and searched just because of your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or faith; the way you look or dress and the language you speak; or because you have committed a crime in the past. A record is made of the stop and search process to help monitor the use of stop and search powers and to make sure that their use is fair. To find out more visit met.police.uk/stopandsearch/

UK's policy on crime: It's better to be killed by thugs than to carry a butter knife with you.

@KittyRokher If you carry a knife any minor situation can quickly escalate to something much bigger. If you have concerns about your safety approach a police officer, a Safer Schools officer, your teacher or your parents to discuss these concerns. Carrying a knife has very real consequences for individuals, families, and communities. Search online for drop the weapons website to hear from real Londoners on how it has affected their lives.

Hell, looks like England is a shitty place, where you are not allowed to carry a knife. Probably it's blade was below 7cm, which length is allowed in more strict law countries. This advertisement says, let the others kill you, but don't carry a knife.
And finally, humanity survived the last 50000 years with weapons, don't try to tell us that owning weapons is against the law.

If you carry a knife, you risk being charged and convicted of possession of a knife which carries a maximum sentence of four years imprisonment.
