This video was shot quite a while back, when my latest CD "Soul of a Man" was released.
I decided not to publish it at the time, as the world was just getting crazier and crazier every day with mad gunplay.
With the latest tragic events, I feel it's time to once again express my feelings about war (the human catastrophy, not the band !!).
I was born in 1941 and war is part of my life ever since. I'm so sick of war.
War is a disease which has spread all over the world.
Don't people understand? War is not working!
It solves nothing!!!!
As they say, it doesn't decide who's right, only who is left.
The overwhelming number of casualties in today's conflicts are not soldiers but civilians, especially children. What is wrong with this picture?
To all who will listen, I declare, No More War.

I like what you said Mr. Burdon. You got the talent,and the voice to make this world go back to the house,and think about what went wrong. But most will not,for they do not understand a FUCKING THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!------------

i donn't want to presume that you are the one 'surrounded by the misery ' of your own psyche, but i think you are mistaken if you think that an artist has no place commenting on tragic events. it suggests that you don't know much about the history of art or at least, rock and roll music. i guess you could say the same of dylan, lennon, neil young, you name it, anybody with anything at all to say. some of us are comforted by hearing a great, familiar voice actually say something!!
