all you're doing is jumping into it. i don't think he's throwing his kick proper. i think you should always have your knee bent when throwing a thai kick, more power that way, and if they come closer as you're throwing it, you hit them with the knee.

@bannanaization hmm..i'm still thinking which one is more effective and efficien to be used in street fight or in the ring? and for doinghigh kick, which style do you recommend? i am still new in thai boxing, before i did sanshou, as we know sanshou and thai boxing is a bit different. thanks for your reply. cheers.

i wish i could learn muay thai the proper way. only gym where im at cost seventy a month for group lessons. soon as i get a job im gonna jump on that deal. thats how bad i wanna learn muay thai.

Donnie I want to know what the power rating for this kick is, have you hooked it up to see? I saw on sports science a ring style kick that registered 790 lbs of force. They said that was the most powerful kick they had ever measured. Your kick looks much more powerful than that sir. :) Just for fun please.

what part of the body does the round kick hit specifically? the kidney? the obliques? can someone please answer? :)

@legomyeggo123 Different targets. A round kick can be used to strike any point between the knee up to the head. You you go to the side of the knee (not allowed in sport), the side & front of the thigh, the abdomen, floating rib, kidneys (if the back is exposed), the neck/head knock out shot. Targets can also change if your opponent is standing or on the ground/crouching/doubled over, or if back on his heels. Standard answer: thigh or head. But it goes beyond that.
