The Inspirations sing "The Filling Station" from their 1986 recording "Tell It To A Friend." Can anyone tell me what is missing from the picture on the album cover?
Absolutely correct! On the album cover, Troy Burns (lead), Archie Watkins (tenor), Mike Holcomb (bass), and Myron and Martin Cook (piano and bass fiddle). No baritone singer. Most of the baritone work on the album was from Jack Laws (the Old Bearhunter), and he was featured on "I Don't Have To See The Tomb." The group actually had Jack and Ronnie Hutchens singing baritone in concert with them at the time depending on who was available. Neither could make a full time commitment.
I know whats wrong with the picture! Theres a singer missing. I just obtained a copy of this record, and I can't figure out who the other singer is, I think it is Jack Laws
@123itisfree It's one of my favorites... not one of their well-known songs, but a neat song nonetheless.
