Despite Rolling Stones opinion I think every ELO album deserves 5 stars (brilliant) and Jeff Lynne is the greatest, most talented song writer in popular music history.

Much better audio quality than the version I found first.
BTW, the emcee has the excitement and charisma level of a dead bug.

@elofan67 Rolling Stone is not Jesus Christ, though Jann Wenner thinks it (he) is. When a magazine puts Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga and other non-rock acts on the cover, and they continue to slag heavy metal (unless it's Metalllica) and prog (unless it's Genesis), then they are not a real rock and roll magazine. I've said it before, the only great thing or person to come out of Rolling Stone was Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman. After Thompson offed himself, RS lost any street cred it had

you took it and made it not bad thank you!!

Adios.. amigos ...

What a great, solid live performance by a great band. Thanks! It's nice to see musicians actually give their best to a live concert performance, instead of phoning it in.

First off, I'm totally stoked to get the skinny on just when DeAlbuquerqe exited and Groucutt took his place. I knew it was sometime in '74 when the change took place. Either way, we know it was a blessing for sure when Groucutt came in. However, it's just freekin' WEIRD to see this early footage of him without the perm or overgrown handlebar 'stache that has become such an unofficial trademark in the minds of us ELO fans worldwide. Otherwise, Great performance!

Kelly and also Mike Edwards on the same bill outstanding RIP to both of them.
-
Mike plays bass on the album and then left AFTER!!!!!!
Do your research people!

omg... that phrase "what can you do when your dream world is gone and your friends and lovers too..." makes my cry...
-
@jeflynnenut Besides the obvious fact, that Kelly Groucutt was born MICHAEL Groucutt ;-) but obviously, you're right. Kelly had a rather distinctive voice...

He might have been gone, but am I mistaken, but wasn't DeAlberquerque in the group pic on the inner sleeve of the Eldorado album? Or was that on the US United Artists pressing only as they could have just used a photo that was convenient to them.
good job mate, thats an awsome hour I just spent listening to your efforts. Thanks. azerty go deal with yourself!

Believe it or not we should all thank elodevi for the original video and alternate audio as well. I just put them together to get a better video. So take it easy on AZERTYoscar. He was just concerned that I was encroaching on our friend elodevi efforts and his uploads. No offense or encroachment was meant. I have discovered that some of the videos I have uploaded are being shared on P2P networks. So the video I downloaded was elodevi's upload!

Are you sure that this show is in 1974 ?
Kelly Groucutt plays bass. They played a lot of Eldorado stuff until Face the Music was released.

Mike De Albuquerque left ELO before the completion of the album Eldorado in 1974 and replaced by Kelly Groucutt in 1974 at the start of the Eldorado Tour. They played Eldorado stuff during from 1974 to 1978. The Out Blue tour featured tracks from Eldorado. The concert video is actually missing 45 mins of concert footage. The concert was edited to fit an TV hour time slot. I have bootlegs from the Out Of The Blue Tour to prove it.

he was saying he put music from a different source over the video... so its no kelly, it's michael de albuquerque (i think) but its kellys voice.

The audio was from a higher quality recording from the same performance. Mike De Albuquerque left before the Eldorado album was even finished. Kelly is singing alongside Jeff Lynne on this one.
