I agree, my son also has down syndrome, but I think my child will benefit more with Obama as our president, given the more money for special education and schools. But I do respect Palin as a mother of a child with DS, at times it takes a lot of patience, not to mention other people ignorance and stupidity and dealing with that on a day to day basis. But overall he means the world to me, and has taught me so much about love.

I feel bad for Trig Palin. A special needs child shouldn't have a special needs adult like Sarah Palin as the primary care taker. Not good.

As a parent of a special needs child one that has autism, childhood apraxia, and a severe mental disability. I don't think that Mrs.Palin speaks to my situation or could even last a day in my shoes. I say find a cure or determine a cause. fund research. She doesn't understand what parents of special needs children go through on a daily basis.
